This policy explains what personal information Sound Wood collects, how it's used and the choices you have. Sound Wood is operated by Mobile Tree Spa LLC.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address and password. Passwords are stored only in hashed form by our sign-in provider; we can't read them.
- Profile details you choose to add: your name, credentials and company, used to fill in "Assessed by" and to appear on your reports.
- Tree records: what you enter for each tree, such as test ID, species, location, measurements, sensor positions, readings, notes and the results.
- Billing details: if you subscribe, Stripe collects your payment details. We receive only your subscription status, plan and a Stripe customer reference, never your full card number.
- Support messages: if you use Contact support, we receive your message, topic, name, email, plan, account ID and your browser/device type.
- Technical data: our hosting and sign-in providers keep standard logs (such as IP address, browser type and time of requests) for security and troubleshooting.
How we use it
We use this information to run Sound Wood: to sign you in, save and sync your trees across devices, produce your reports, process subscriptions, answer support requests, send account emails (confirmations, password resets) and keep the service secure. We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Who processes it for us
We rely on a few trusted providers, each handling only what it needs:
- Supabase: account sign-in and database storage for your tree records.
- Vercel: hosting the website and app.
- Stripe: subscription payments and billing.
- Resend: sending account and support emails.
These providers may store data in the United States. We may also share information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users or others.
Cookies and local storage
Sound Wood stores your sign-in session, your tree records and settings such as light or dark mode in your browser's local storage so the app works and stays fast. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. Stripe may set its own cookies on its checkout pages to prevent fraud.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your account and tree records until you delete them. Deleting a tree removes it from your account. You can delete your whole account at any time from Account → Delete account, which removes your sign-in, profile and saved trees and cancels any subscription. Stripe keeps payment records as required for tax and accounting. Support emails stay in our inbox unless you ask us to delete them.
Your choices and rights
You can see and correct your details in Account, export your trees as PDF, PNG or CSV, and delete your account. You can also email us to ask for a copy of your information, a correction or deletion, and we'll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU), you may have further rights under local law, and we will honor them.
Security
Connections to Sound Wood are encrypted. Each account can only reach its own records, enforced by the database itself. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and keep it private.
Children
Sound Wood is a professional tool and isn't meant for anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy in an important way, we'll tell you by email or in the app before the change takes effect.
